Luca Vecchi

Luca Vecchi received his training at Roberto Rossellini State Institute for Cinematography (CINE-TV), attended Nuova Università del Cinema e della Televisione (New University for Cinema and Television) at Rome's Cinecittà, where he graduated in cinema and completed his graduate course in Discipline delle Arti della Musica e dello Spettacolo (Disciplines of Arts of Music and Shows) at Roma Tor Vergata's Second University with an experimental thesis in sociology of media. He writes short tales, subjects, scripts and tv formats; he authored the series of hard-boiled surreal tales Fantafornication - Violated Unconscious (edizioni Montag) winner of Literature section at Marte Live 2010. He wrote the script of Andarevia (2013), the debut for the director Claudio Di Biagio's for RaiCinema; and together with Claudio he ideated a crowdfunded serial transposition of Dylan Dog - Victim of the Events, a fan-pilot about the legendary nightmare investigator created by Tiziano Sclavi and published by Sergio Bonelli Editore.

His success begins with The Pills, a sketch-comedy he created, directed, edited and wrote one of three screenplay.
The Pills is a web series that started in 2011 on Youtube and then distributed through conventional and unconventional channels. Eventually it found its way to the theaters with THE PILLS - Better Than Working, distributed by MEDUSA. He also worked with high-level brands such as SONY Playstation, Poste Italiane, NETFLIX, Peroni and many others.
